Returns & Warranty
We stand behind everything well sell, and strive for excellent customer service. If you have any questions or issues with the product, please contact us right away. Everything we send out is checked (by an actual human!), but if we miss something, we'll make it right.
Items are warrantied for 90 days from the date of order. For defective items, we'll take care of any costs associated with the return/replacement.
We want you to be happy. No catches.
We set a product to pre-order status as soon as we're confident of the date we can actually ship the product. If you add a pre-order item to your cart with other in-stock items, your entire order will be placed on-hold until all items are in stock. This helps us keep our shipping costs, and therefore product costs, down. However, if you'd rather we ship the in-stock items immediately, please either let us know in the order notes, or simply place two orders, with the pre-order items in their own order.
We ship anywhere that Tesla's are sold. If your country isn't listed please let us know and we'll get it fixed right away. We also sell some items through Amazon and eBay.
In order to keep shipping costs down for you, we use USPS First Class mail in the US and Canada, and USPS First Class International mail for other locations. For domestic shipments, you can upgrade to tracked first class mail for a small fee, or Prioirty Mail for a little more. Both of those options will ship within one business day. Our standard free domestic shipping will ship within 3 business days, but we always aim to beat that goal. US orders over $45 ship Priority Mail for free. Shipping to non-US locations is based on weight & size, so the cost is variable, but in all cases we never seek to make a profit from shipping.
Due to recent increases from USPS, we now also offer a fixed-cost DHL rate of $25.99 to all non-North American locations. DHL provide excellent service and generally delivery within 3 days. The $25.99 is our minimum cost for a 1lb package. We hope to reduce this over time as our volume with DHL increases, but again, we're not making any profit from shipping.
Note Regarding USPS Mail - We normally turn orders around within one business day, but shipping time varies by location. All shipments are pre-coded for auto-sorting and faster processing, but please consider using the Priority Mail option for US shipments if you need your order faster. As a rough guide, current shipping times are shown below:
US East Coast - 5-7 business days
US West Coast - 6-10 business days
US South East - 4-6 business days
US Texas and adjacent states - 1-4 business days
Canada - 6-10 business days
Mainland Europe - 12-17 business days
Far East - 15-25 business days
All international items ship with a USPS tracking link. The status is updated once a day by USPS, and once it leaves the US (normally via Chicago), there's no other updates provided until it's delivered (in most locations, you can see the list of supported countries here). Generally speaking we experience a very low loss rate with USPS, but they're not the fastest.
In the rare case your shipment is lost, we'll happily send a replacement, however, we do ask that you wait for the shipping times above to lapse, as our experience shows that over 99% of shipments do get delivered, it just takes a while sometimes :-/
Shipping times during holiday seasons can slow down, even though we'll still despatch the orders quickly. Please bear this in mind if you are ordering gifts.
Customs & Duty
We know that orders from international customers may be subject to import duty or customs. While we cannot be liable for these fees, we do our best to help, and typically mark the value of each item nearer to the cost price. If your order is less than $100, you'll generally be ok, but no promises, it really does depend on your local Customs office.
