What's the difference between SnapPlate+ and SnapPlate?
SnapPlate is designed with breakaway features that reduce the chance of damage to the vehicle in touch car washes, parking accidents, and minor mishaps. SnapPlate+ is designed with reinforced features to be as strong as possible. SnapPlate+ is still plastic, so it's safer for the vehicle than metal options, but it's about twice the strength of SnapPlate.
Is SnapPlate car wash safe?
Touchless washes are generally ok for SnapPlate+, but we recommend removing SnapPlate and SnapPlate+ for all automated car washes to be on the safe side. Touch washes aren't safe for SnapPlate, SnapPlate+, or any of the similar license plate mounts on the market. If touch car washes are your priority, we recommend that you use the adhesive or screwed-on license plate mount provided by your vehicle's manufacturer.
