As with all of our lighting upgrades, this is plug-and-play, just take a couple of minutes to watch the video below. Jump to 3:40 for the install process.
Installing the light bar
- Open the trunk and pop out one of the side trunk lights. Either side works.
- Unplug the connector from the back of the light.
- Route the light bar cable from the light opening up to the top of the trunk opening and down to where the light bar will sit.
- Plug the car's power connector into the light bar harness.
- Plug the trunk light into the other connector on the harness. Make sure both connectors click into place.
- Tuck the cable back up into the opening and refit the light.
- Tuck the rest of the cable run into the trim so it is hidden.
- Stick an adhesive strip to the back of the light bar and peel off the backing. One strip is enough, but you can use more to cover the full length if you prefer.
- Center the light bar on the trunk lid so it shines down into the trunk, and press it into place. You can also mount it across the top of the trunk opening instead.
- Close the trunk, then open it again to reactivate the lights and check everything works.
