It adds Qi2 (Magsafe-like) charging capabilities, occupying one USB-C port per puck to max out charging speeds. Gen 2 R1 vehicles have a wonky USB-C controller so after literal months and dozens of products tested, we could not find something that would reliably deliver more than 7.5W per puck, and very few that would enable both pucks to negotiate a reliably charge simultaneously - and those got complicated.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour NFC card reader still works. You've got Qi2. You've got no visible \"arts and crafts\" bits.
