Please refer to the video below, and don't forget, do NOT assemble the clips beforehand, you need to install the 'plug' part first, then the center pin, once the mudflaps are in position.
Installation
Before you start
- Do not push the center pins into the plugs before installation. Keep the plug bodies and center pins separate until the mudflap is in position.
- Turn the front wheels outward for better access behind the wheel arch.
Front mudflaps
- Use the supplied screwdriver to pry out the factory clips from the rear edge of the front wheel arch liner.
- Hook the tab on the top of the mudflap behind the wheel arch trim first.
- Let the mudflap drop down into its natural position. Check that it lines up with the trim.
- Push a plug body through each mounting hole to hold the mudflap in place. The front mudflap clips are all the same size.
- Push the center pin into each plug to lock it. The pins take some effort, so press with a tool or a hard object rather than your finger.
- Check that the mudflap is solid and repeat on the other side.
Rear mudflaps
- Work on the rear portion of the rear wheel arch, behind the wheel.
- Pry out the two factory clips with the supplied screwdriver.
- Remove the 10 mm bolt underneath using the supplied wrench. If the bolt twists without the thread moving, stop, spray the area with WD40 or another penetrating oil, then continue so the bolt comes out cleanly.
- Hook the clip on the top of the mudflap behind the wheel arch trim.
- Position the mudflap so it sits against the trim and the bolt hole lines up.
- Fit the large plug body in the rear hole and the small plug body in the front hole.
- Push the center pin into each plug to lock it.
- Start the 10 mm bolt underneath by hand, then finish with the wrench. Hand tight is enough. Do not overtighten.
- Repeat on the other side.
