Installing the Xpel Armor Gear Tunnel Protection
- Check the printed instruction sheet included in the kit to see exactly where each piece goes.
- Clean the trim panel with one of the provided wipes. If the panel is heavily soiled, wash it properly first.
- Do not use trim cleaner or a protective trim polish such as Armor All. These leave an oily coating and the film will not stick.
- Let the cleaned surface flash off (dry) before going further.
- Peel back an inch or two of the backing from one end of the film. No tools are needed for this install.
- Line that end up with the top edge of the trim piece, then roll the film over the edge.
- Work your way along the panel, peeling the backing as you go and pressing the film down with firm pressure. Keep it flat, straight and square with the trim piece. If it goes down wrong, lift it back up and reposition it.
- Run your thumb along the edge to round the film over it, so the edge is protected when you load gear in and out.
- Repeat for the second piece.
